How to Grow Flowers In a Pot

by Debbie
(Trenton.NJ)

I have an area that has 3 barberrys planted and 3 flowered areas planted into ground, weed barrier around and then covered with rock. Can I plant an empty pot into ground in place of flowers so that I can change the flowers with seasonal annuals? Live in the Trenton,NJ area.

Hi, Debbie -
You certainly can. A clay pot would probably weather
better than a plastic one. Some people opt to place a flower pot or two on their front porch or entryway and plant seasonal flowers when the growing season allows for it.
