Landscaping With Rocks?
Homeowner Yard Problem

I have a long narrow yard on the north side of my house. It is grass right now but almost non-existent, because it doesn't get enough sun so it is pretty much mud when it rains. The outside perimeter is lined with Sumac trees which are very nice in the summer. I want to do something here with maybe rock or gravel, something that doesn't need sun. Any ideas that won't break the bank?

Answer from our Professional Landscaper:

This is the perfect place for a rock garden, or a similar hardscape.
Interlocking pavers are not terribly expensive, but a patio/walkway of ornamental stone with large stepping stones throughout would look great as well. The main idea is to create usable space that is easily cleaned up (debris from trees, leaves, etc.).
